WHAT DO I DO WITH YOUR INFORMATION?
When you enquire about my services and book a therapy session, I may collect personal information you give me such as your name, address, email address, reason for therapy and any health details which may be relevant that I know whilst you are in my care. When you browse my website, I also automatically receive your computer’s internet protocol (IP) address to provide me with information that helps me learn about your browser and operating system.
I will never send you emails about my news, current or new services, and any other updates. I will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties unless I have your permission or am required by law to do so. I will never use your personal information to send you promotional information about third parties which I may think you may find interesting unless you tell me that you wish this to happen. You may request details of personal information which I hold about you under the Data Protection Act 1998. If you would like a copy of the information held on you please contact me in writing. If you believe that any information I am holding on you is incorrect or incomplete, please email me as soon as possible. I will promptly correct any information found to be incorrect.
How do I get your consent? When you provide me with the above mentioned personal information, to enquire about my therapies or make a booking, I imply that you consent to me collecting it and using it for that specific reason only. I will not ask for your personal information for a secondary reason, like marketing.
I may disclose your personal information if I am required by law to do so or if I believe there has been any violation of the Safeguarding Policy (https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/safeguarding-children-and-young-people/safeguarding-children-and-young-people).
GDPR AND RECORD KEEPING
It is a condition of my insurance policy that I take and retain client’s records. Therefore, records shall be kept for at least 7 years, following the last session. If the therapy has been requested for minors, I am required to keep respective records for at least 7 years after they reach the age of majority (18).
AGE OF CONSENT
By using this site, you represent that you are at least the age of 18 and you have given me your consent to allow any of your minor dependents to use this site.
To protect your personal information, I take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed. If you provide me with your information on my website, the information is encrypted using secure socket layer technology (SSL) 256bit encryption and a 2048 bits key size.
